MoviePass is the nation's leading theatrical subscription service. What does that mean? It means that, for one flat monthly fee, our members are able to see an unlimited number of movies in theaters each month. Our service is available in 90% of theater nationwide.

We are a business of movie lovers and, as such, our mission is two-fold. We want to make it easier for people to see the movies they want in theaters and we want to enhance the overall experience of being a movie-lover.

The Role

You would be responsible for providing each line of business with the research and insights that they need to make better decisions. You would work across our business development, marketing and product teams answering questions like why should this theater chain partner with us? How can we optimize our customer acquisition efforts? 

Ultimately, it will be your responsibility to help MoviePass devise, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives that will drive customer growth and profitability. You'll work closely with the CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, and VP of Product. Therefore, on a functional level, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing strategic analyses and develop business cases for new business efforts and initiatives
  • Manage internal reporting needs for various business constituents
  • Analyzing internal customer analytics to identify opportunities for revenue growth
  • Assist with financial planning & analysis function

Desired Skills/Expertise

  • 1-2 years of analytics experience garnered through roles in management consulting, equity research, media research, or subscription services 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to ambiguous questions
  • Financial modeling skills
  • Advanced data processing, analysis and visualization skills
  • Ability to write/run SQL queries
  • Knowledge of business intelligence platforms such as Looker/Tableau/RJ Metrics
  • Experience with digital analytics is a plus
  • Experience working with internet-based businesses is a plus, as is experience with subscription-based business models
